I have a class in Midgley on Monday 8th July. The theme is 'men'. One of the regular ladies at the class asked if I had anything like a grouse or pheasant so I knew what I would use. This is one of my favorite stamp sets.
I have used some of the paper I have had in my 'bits' box for a while. Those at the class will get to choose their papers out of the box!
I think this will be a good card with a small bottle of 'Famous Grouse' for a birthday.
I'm really pleased with this one!
A collection of creativity, paper based beautiful cards, home decor and fun junk journals. Thread based knitting and sewing for my wonderful grandchildren, plus my occasional thoughts and insights to life in general.

Best of Flowers
A lovely set of stamps. After the success of my 'stamp a sack' I used this set again for my class in Midgley last week. I changed the colourways but took the originals to show. Its surprising how different things can look when produced with different colours.
On this last card we swapped the yellow and turquoise in class, this made the sentiment really pop.
Three pretty and useful cards was the agreed opinion at the end of a fun afternoon.
Why not join us for the next class.

Baby
Its been a funny old week and the crafty mojo just wasn't there but now.......... ideas keep popping into my head.
But first I had a commission to create. Another baby frame and another pink one. I really enjoy working on these. I spend ages rearranging the squares and trying to come up with something that wasn't on the last one so each looks unique.
Its been quite difficult to photograph because it is such a dull day and I just couldn't get rid of the dark shadow on the left. Wishing all concerned all the best.
If you would like to order a similar one of these please get in contact. Who will be the first to have one for a boy?

Home Decor
Home decor item using Papillon Potourri and the last of my print DSP. I found these frames in country baskets on the sale shelf. They were hinged together so that they stood but I have taken them apart and added hangers to the back. I am really pleased with the outcome and if they don't sell tomorrow at the craft fair I will be hanging them in my bedroom.
Loads of photos which was difficult because the sun has been very intermittent!!!

Home Decor
Its Friday again. More butterflies on a home decor item. This has used lots of the little bits of ribbon that you often find in the bottom of your stash box. The butterflies are bunched from the Christmas paper pack and some print poetry. The little flowers have been in my non SU box for ages. The colour mix allows for reds, pinks and purples, very summery.

Best of Flowers
Day three from this set. The bouquet . I was stuck with this one until Julie shared a card from one of the team members, unfortunately I can't find that post even though it was only a few days ago!
Inspired I went and searched my retired sets of stamps. I had kept this stamp used for the background because it is great for journals. You could use the paper from the poetry pack but I thought they were a little large. Keeping to a one colour scheme enhances the cards. The lace I found in an antique shop (very cheap). The flower trim is lovely and really enhances the finish.
Which colour scheme do you prefer, Midnight Muse or Primrose Petals?

Best of Flowers
The second pair of cards come in Pumpkin Pie. I admit I thought I was using Tangerine Tango. I enjoyed the new use of the doilies which I think is very effective. The doilie has the centre cut out, then it is daubed. Put tape onto the card so that the sticky side is exposed then pleat the doily onto the sticky. Sounds harder than it actually is.We cut our own daisies as the 1 1/4" scallop punch is on my order that hasn't arrived yet.

Best of Flowers
Its going to be a week of best of flowers. We had a great afternoon yesterday, eating strawberries and cream, watching Nadal win the tennis and stamping a sack full of cards. We actually created 10 different cards in 2 1/2 hours!
Today I am showing you the first two. I admit that the ideas came from pinterest. There are so many creative people out there.
We started with a crumb cake theme because that is Chris's favorite. Using the hydrangea stamp and the square punches.
Love both of these. back tomorrow with cards using the daisy stamp.

Postage Due
Another Postage Due card. This one is cut into tiles. Only one colour of ink, two colours of card some DSP and a little ribbon. Despite the butterfly I think this makes a good mans card. You could swap the butterfly and jems for a fish with glaze!

Designer Series Paper Cones
Another container that will need filling. I have used a pattern to make these so that sizes are the same. A sheet of DSP will make an outer for one cone and an inner for a second cone. Each cone has two layers of paper which makes them really strong. Lace, tags, flowers and lots of other embellishments could be used. I have kept mine quite simple because the paper is busy.

Best of Flowers
A new technique today. The background has been created by inking a clear block with an ink pad or two. You then spritz the inked block with a fine mist of water then press it onto your card. You can see the water penetrate the card and create patterns in the ink. When you lift the block away from the card it is clean!
I then used the silhouette stamp in a not quite navy, I stamped twice with each inking to give some depth. A thin ribbon and small sentiment finish the card.
Every time you create a background in this way it will be different. Vive La Difference!!!

Designer Series Paper Bags.
In three weeks we will have a new range of papers to use. These bags were made a while ago and I have a few more to show you.
The base is made with coordinating cardstock and the handles can be card, paper or ribbon. I have used a variety of brads, buttons, beads and sequins to join the handles to the bags.

Now I have to decide what to put in them, sweets, chocolates, a plant or a mini bottle of wine?

Best of Flowers
First post with a new stamp set. We made these at monthly training this morning. This first card is a basic card with stamping and a sentiment. The colour combination feels fresh and summery, Crumb Cake, Pool Party and Midnight Muse. The little twist of Linen Thread finishes it off.
We then made a very similar card but with more embellishment. The card does not feel overworked and retains the simplicity but the pearls add a bit of glamour.
