Hugs from Shelli

Shelli Gardner is the wonderful lady who started Stampin'Up over 30 years ago. In America they have a monthly subscription called Paper Pumpkin. Every month a box of goodies drops through the letter box and what is in it, is a surprise.
Tonight from 11 o clock a Paper Pumpkin box called 'Hugs from Shelli' is available in the European market. This is going to be so popular.
In the box will be:-

A set of exclusive stamps
One classic ink spot
Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 designs)
12 co ordinating envelopes
Adhesives and embellishments.

Coordinating colours for this kit are :- Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla, one or two of my favourites.

At onstage we made one of the cards that is in the kit.  These are so great for everyone new to stamping, you only need to stamp the sentiment. The putting together is simple but you finish with a really lovely looking card. I am ordering mine tonight. If you want me to add one to my order for you get in contact in the next hour, or order online  here

  • These are the bits we got in our kit. I didn't get the stamp set to bring home but I do have lots of other sentiments that I could add to this card.
  • My order will go in at 11.30 this evening. Message me to get your order added to it. k x

Let it ride again

Another project, this time 3d or better still home decor. The house we are buying obviously has a little girl mad keen on horse riding, there was a saddle in the hall and one of the bedroom walls was covered in rosettes. So this is a bit of a nod to her.
This is one of my favourite type of makes. I think all the new sets I buy will get this treatment in some way.

I have used all the image stamps in the set and two of the sentiments.. The grasses in the bottom left are from another stamp set I just had handy. I bought a pkt of horse themed embellishments and used the horse shoe here. The rosette I made with an odd piece of the thin Christmas dsp I had left over.. Really enjoyed this creative afternoons work.

What do you think?

Let it ride.

Other than a big batch of wedding invitations, tags for the table gifts and place names I haven't done much crafting.

The one set I have had out and actually haven't put away yet is the 'Let it Ride 'stamp set. This was in the spring/summer catalogue and is carrying forward.

At Christmas I had a card from a friend in this style - a style I hadn't tried before so this is a bit of a fancy fold. I did enjoy doing it. Picking up a pkt of those tiny magnets in a local newsagents for only 99p (very cheap) I had solved the closure problem too.

This is a side view

And the inside.

I have used the crackle large background stamp on all the faces. I really enjoyed making this one. Thank you for the inspiration Shirley.
