Happy Watercolour

The happy watercolour stamp has not yet gone back on the shelf. I'm sure there is much more I can do with it. This card shows the meeting of happy watercolour and gorgeous grunge. I have used the splat from the gorgeous grunge to add the colour to the flowers. The three dots below the sentiment echo the colours. This is whats so fab about stamping' up! products, the colour co-ordination.

The idea came from the happy owl.

Wetlands

My favourite stamp set has come out again. This time teamed with the hardwood background stamp which is really useful. I will be posting one card a week during May using this stamp, just to show how versatile it is.
I ve daubed the background after stamping the goose. I have used a white pen to high-light the eye the white flash on his neck and the neck area.
The hessian ribbon and neutral coloured dots just add a bit more texture.
A great mans card I think you will agree.

Happy watercolour

There is so much you can do with this stamp set. Here I have used yellow...... not a colour I go to very often. The flower is stamped in Chocolate Chip then painted with a water brush and Crushed Curry. Its so rich, a bit like the yellow poppies whose leaves are springing up all over the garden.
The flower has been stamped 3 times, once on the card and then separately twice and cut out, I have tried to curl the petals to make it a bit fuller but not sure if this has been effective. The leaves are punched from Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake with the bird punch.
The background to the flower is also a stamp from this set that looks like a brush stroke, I have used the 3 yellow shades, Crushed Curry, so Saffron and Daffodil Delight. The sentiment from the set is stamped in Chocolate Chip.
This stamp set is available in the Spring/Summer supplement.

Beautiful Baroque

I love this stamp set and used it for many of my Christmas cards. The colours used are this weeks colour challenge. It feels very luxurious. Just black and gold.

Tulips

One of my favourite flowers for this make.

And its another Monday team colour challenge. I have to admit the Island Indigo and the Calypso Coral packs of A4 card hadn't been opened. They just aren't colours I use very much. The third colour Pistachio Pudding is one of my least favourites.
Because I was very wary of the colours I have made a very simple card. The tulip was coloured with marker pens and stamped I then used my water brush to colour the petals and leaves. I have added some crystal glaze but it doesn't show up very well in the pictures.
The sentiment is from Petite Pairs so you get an inny as well as an outy! That means you get a sentiment to print on the outside and inside of the card which match up.

Summer colours

Another team challenge make. This weeks colours are Melon Mambo, Daffodil delight and Old Olive, all in the brights collection.
For me this is a very simple card. The stamps are all from one set  and  I have only used 2 colours of ink .
The Old Olive touch is just in the leaves which are punched with the owl punch.

Hello Doily again

This card uses all the elements that were requested by a friend. But she didn't like the finished article! The little flowers are not stamping' up! but are what the friend asked me to use, I was a bit sceptical at first but was quite pleased with the finished product and it did take some time. What do you think?

I have used crumb cake card and soft suade ink from the neutrals collection plus Blushing Bride and Soft Sky from the subtles collection. The flowers adding a little more pink. The burlap ribbon goes well with the victorian lace and vintage button. These are all stamping up.

Hello Doily

Here are 2 cards that satisfy our weekly team colour challenge. This week is all about the neutrals, so browns, greys, black, white and cream. I plan on a black and white one but haven't perfected that yet so here are my browns.

The doily is a large stamp with very fine detail so I have kept this card simple. The button matches it so well with a little linen thread tied in the middle. Using 'hello' keeps the card open for lots of uses. I have stamped in soft suade, my favourite of the brown inks and matt and layered crumb cake, early expresso and very vanilla.

This second card is very similar. I have layered a smaller doily from the 'Happy Day' set, that I punched out with a scallop circle punch. I have used the same stamp for the smaller doilies around the edge. The centres are the candy dots.
A unisex card for 'congratulations'.
