Thoughtful Branches Day 6 Scenes from my garden

The hydrangea bush in my garden is very old and although it had a severe cutting back last year it is again quite large. The flower heads this year are a much brighter pink and they just made me think of Melon Mambo ink colour. Yes its a bright pink.

Here is my homage to the plant in my garden

How do you think it compares to the pictures of my plant. The whole thing just raises the spirits its so bright and cheerful.

I haven't actually made a card with this and the tree trunk.......yet.

Only two more days to order the bundle. Check it out here

And here are the pictures from my garden...... there are a lot!

Thoughtful Branches Day 4, another cute animal.........

Well I had to didn't I. Mr hedgehog is always a winner....... This is another idea from Pinterest created by Judy,  here is the link to her pinterest post.

I have developed this one on a theme I love, daubing lots of colour to create a background, here its the moonlight and dark sky. I could have gone much further highlighting tree branches etc but the hedgehog is the focus, so sweet.

I have just used torn paper from my scraps box for the lower part of the card. Don't you find sometimes that scap box is overflowing and you have to limit yourself to using only stuff out of that?

In the right light his eyes gleam as I have added a blob (very technical over here!) of fine tip glue pen. It dries glossy. love it.

Not sure if I could choose between the sheep or the hedgehog. Which do you like best?

The link for the bundle is here. remember its only available until the 31st of the month. 9 Dies and 23 stamps, so much you can do with it.

Thoughtful branches Day 3 A very special one.....

Now who would have thought that all those tree bits could make animals too. I found this on Pinterest here Thanks to Judy for the inspiration. Mine does look different but thats where the idea came from.

You need to be thinking about Baa Baa Black sheep......

Isn't she so cute. I did take the sentiment from Judy's card which I thought was brilliant. The ears are black card punched with the poinsettia punch! The body is the tree top die.

The feet are circles cut in halve with a bit snipped out of them!

I always love a button with some twine, ribbon or raffia threaded through them a strand bit for behind.

The background paper is from my stash as is the fence. I have done quite a bit of daubing and sponging, using pear pizzaz and soft sky. What do you think?

Thoughtful Branches 2

Todays card I think would be a lovely autumn birthday card. I have used the wet wipe method of inking the stamps to get a few different colours all going at once. A very simple easy card to create just adding the new hessian ribbon to bring it all together. I don't often make DL cards but am pleased with this one.

I really like the attention to detail, the way the tree trunks fit into the grass and the hill lines.

Here is the link again for you to buy the bundle online

Thoughtful Branches....Limited Edition

The Thoughtful Branches stamp set and matching dies is a limited edition for the month of August bundle from Stampin'Up. I think it is one of the most versatile sets they have had on offer since I joined as a demonstrator. So for the next 7 days I am going to share the huge range of makes I have done with this set. So calling all big shot or other die cutting machine owners take a look at these.

To start the week rolling I have used the tree stump and the two little birds, creating 3 very simple cards. I love the little birds.

A set for all seasons. Here I have used the gentle falling embossing folder for the background . A wooden snowflake and cherry cobbler bakers twine. A quick simple effective Christmas card.

This time a little pink and a heart and its ready for Valentines day.

And now for a birthday or a 'just because' card, with a bunch of flowers, the flowers are from the cottage garden set. Think I should have cut up between some of the stems!

So that is versatile isn't it?
This is the bundle that you can buy.....

This is a picture of the dies, there are 9 in the set. I can't get a picture of the stamps to download but there are 23 stamps in the set. You can buy this here
