Todays bargain of the week.........

Its Tuesday again so I thought we would have another look at the clearance rack.

Todays bargain makes these  fun mini cards and tags.

These little tags were made by the Paperedchef

I love the watercolour pencils. Do you remember magic painting when you were a kid, well when you use an aqua painter or paintbrush on these watercolour pencils its very similar, the colours come to life. You don't have to wet the colouring but the water does smooth out the crayoned lines.

Todays bargain is another tin full of goodies. This time it has a punch, an ink spot, a clear block for the stamps and 4 watercolour pencils.  Its £25.20 (reduced from £42)

If you would like to order your bargain tin of crafty goodies, check out my online store here or email me at karen@krafting.co.uk

Update Update Update

Whoo hoo the clearance rack has been updated.
 Love a bargain

I thought I would show you some of the bargains on the clearance rack with a regular post about it starting today. And there are some real bargains there. This is my online shop link to the clearance rack here

Todays bargain of the week is a Christmas Tag mini kit. I know people aren't really thinking about Christmas at the moment but now is an ideal time to get started on the making of those cards and tags, you won't have time once the lockdown is lifted as we will all be out and about working and visiting friends. So now is a good time to start.

The Joy of Giving Tag Project Kit all comes in its own little tin.

The poppy parade Stampin' spot is red. A real Christmas red. I have added this to my order which I am placing on Friday. If you would like to order a kit I will arrange with you to do a Zoom class so we can make this together. The kit is complete with a clear block for your stamps the only thing you need is your adhesive What a great saving nearly £20 off..

This is a picture os the tags made up from the instructions. The picture is from the demonstrator at Stampin' in the Meadows I think they look great.

Each tag is folded in half so you can add 'to and from' on the reverse side.

Email me if you would like me to add a kit for you to my order. email

Make It Monday

Make it Monday - Celebrate with cake - £43.50 - including postage

This week I have picked the stamp set and cards that have had the most views on my blog this year!
This blog post has had      views since I posted it which I find amazing.
The easy bit for me is that Stampin up do this as a lovely bundle. In this bundle you get the stamp set, note cards and envelopes, 2 ink pads and a clear block to put your stamps on to use them. A really great beginners bundle or for some one who enjoys #simplestamping

These are the 8 cards that I made. To see individual cards check out my post from the 19th February.

Please email me to place your order karen@krafting.co.uk

Golf and watercolour pencils

In the Country Club designer paper pack there is one sheet with line drawings

It is a double sided sheet with the colourful diamonds on the back.  You could make 12 cards with this sheet. Because of the small images it really does lend itself to the watercolour pencils.

You can click on the pictures and you will be taken to my online shop where there are more details about the colours included.

You colour with them as you would ordinary crayons then using an aqua painter of a paintbrush you can get rid of all the lines and blend the colours. Very relaxing.

My card

I have used all four of the different colours of green in the tree

Very satisfied with this card. If you want more details about Stampin'Up then please email me here

Golf..... Country Club designer paper

Today I have joined a Tic  Tac  Toe challenge over on The Joy of Sets blog
Below is the grid to choose from. I have chosen Texture, Fussy cut which you all know I love! and Designer Paper, of which I have a lot!!!

Some time ago a friend send me some of the Country Club designer paper that  I haven't cut into yet. I puzzled over it for quite a while before I could see how I could use it with the grid. Then I had a light bulb moment, actually when what I had out fell off my desk. .... I do think gravity is twice as strong in my craft space, everything seems to end up on the floor.

My project involved a lot of very small fussy cutting.....

This is the fussy cutting in detail.....

This is the inside of the card. Another small strip from an alternative sheet of the designer paper.

Below is the link to this designer paper in my online shop where there are further pictures of each sheet. (click on the picture).

Make it Monday

This week I have gone for 'Positive Thoughts'. We are entering week 5 of the lockdown in our house. I didn't realise I could sit for quite so long and do nothing, its scary! There are some things which are now routine but other parts of the day are proving more difficult. I have found that just putting shoes on rather than spending the day in my slippers helps. What would be your top tips for this strange time?

Monday 13th April - Positive Thoughts - £25 including postage

It has a good ring and the images in the set are right up my street. I also like the the sentiments. Its too windy to be outside to take pictures today so they aren't photographed together, just the 4 individual cards

This first card is in my style, a bit grungy, lots of daubing, distressed edges etc. All a bit vintage.

For this second card I was looking for a splash of colour. Love these two purple shades. There is a little fussy cutting needed and I will tie the bow for you if needed!

The third card in mono chrome as this paper was still on my desk from last week. The piece of sparkly ribbon just lifts the design, no need for a bow or knot with that pretty butterfly.
Lastly, a soft peachy card. The sentiment will suit some but not others. The embossed matt layer will be included. You will need to lightly sponge the raised areas. Finished with a pretty ribbon bow.

I hope you have enjoyed these makes. Email me to place your order karen@krafting.co.uk

In your parcel you will receive:-
The featured stamp set,
All the card, designer paper, ribbon and everything that you will need for the projects including envelopes.
A photograph of each card made up and a sheet of hints and tips for each card.
You will need to supply:-
Your own adhesive
your own blocks for the stamps
your own inks,
a finger dauber or sponge
scissors for fussy cutting.

Happy crafting. k x

Ornate Garden Suite - Early Release from the 2020 - 2021 catalogue

I need to tell you about this suite that Stampin'Up have released early. It is going to be in the catalogue when it comes in June but it is so pretty. You can buy as a whole suite, 2 stamp sets, 2 sets of dies, designer paper , an embossing folder, ribbon and some bling or you can buy it in parts. If you buy a stamp set and a set of dies there is 10% discount as this is a bundle - there are two bundles. (the price of the whole suite includes this discount)

Bundle 1 is this lovely, very useful stamp set - so many ways of saying thanks. The dies create pretty edges to the front of cards or on matt layers.

The second bundle, again a set of stamps and dies This time some lovely floral stamps and the dies create these ornate matt layer surrounds. The floral stamps have a daisy theme so work very well with existing stamp sets Daisy Lane and Daisy delight and the 2 matching punches which many of you already own.

The designer paper:- I have so much paper but this is beautiful and is in my basket for my order on Monday
The soft colours one of which is a new in colour!

The add ons, the embossing folder, the ribbon pack and the bling -

To buy the whole suite - what a treat for yourself, It would see you through to the end of this lockdown  I'm sure ........

For Jasper. He is nearly off walking and loves to be outside.

Foe Ella, now sitting up, her Mum loves rainbows! Can't wait to see her in this. Roll on the end of this virus and the lockdown. k x

Make it Monday on a Tuesday!

Here it is and I am so pleased with these. Love this stamp set. Don't know why I didn't buy it earlier. 19 Photopolymer stamps, 6 sentiments and 13 images.

In your box this time you will get  'Music From the Heart' stamp set and  a 'Momento' ink pad. Its always good to have a new inkpad when starting this sort of project. I had to re ink mine which put me behind as I like to let the the ink settle for 24hours before I use it. I have also been busy gardening and knitting and teaching the young people (30somethings!) in my family to knit via facebook chat....... yes well.

Monday 6th April - Music from the Heart Photopolymer stamp set and Memento ink pad - £25 including postage

The cards individually:-
This first one uses the Stampin'Up 'thick white card'. I don't very often use the thick card but it is a great base for a card. This is #simplestamping at its best. This is an easy card to get you going. With what I think is one of the most useful sentiments.

Card 2 uses a piece of designer paper that will be included in the pack. Using the same stamps as the first card I have stamped on the designer paper. Making the guitar from the treble cleff and the guitar neck stamp is a bit tricky but if you practise a couple of times on some paper once you have got it it is then obvious how it works. I have used real red as a matt layer, then again for the sentiment. The whole card is on a black base.

Card 3:- Now that you have mastered making the guitar a bit more practise to create the background! Guitars in all directions. I have added some 13/8" black circles with 1/2" coloured centres. I then punched a whole in the middle using the 1/16th hand punch. Great little sentiment or you could use the 'happy birthday'. I have used the Happy birthday on the inside.

Card 4:- The keyboard. On a 13.8cm x 9.5cm white card I have stamped the keyboard across the card. My tip is to put the keyboard stamp onto a much larger block than it needs then you can see through the block to match the images up. You need to stamp it three times in each line. Again the sentiment could be swapped for 'happy birthday'. If you have the sunburst punch this would be better for the black matt but I have used what is on my shelf. I have added a few red rhinestones to pick up the colour from the matt layer. These will be included in your parcel.

Bonus card:- I got carried away. I do have a few more projects with this set which I will post here next week. I have used the keyboard along the bottom of the matt layer then cut the card back to the keys. The little birds are separate stamps so you can add them on the lines where you would like them to be. The stitched die circle for the sentiment and the red matt will be included in your parcel but you can of course use what you have.

In you box you will receive:-

The stamp set
A black memento ink pad
All the card, envelopes, die cuts, rhinestones and designer paper to make these 5 cards.

You will need your own
blocks to put the stamps on,
adhesive

To order you box please email karen@krafting.co.uk
