Case the Catalogue Sunday.

Sometimes we all find that our creative mojo has gone. At these times I look at all the samples in the catalogue untill I find one I like then I copy that.
Todays card is one of those. It uses the Painted Harvest set and the timeless textures. Stamp sets I wouldn't have put together.

Healing Hugs

Love this stamp set. The new catalogue is amazing but this set was top of my list from the start. Its not a bundle it doesn't have a punch its a paper and ink set which is what I prefer.
This is a very simple card and great for using bits from that stash of bits that I know you haven't thrown away!
We made this at card and a cuppa last  week.

In this picture (above) the card is resting on one of my lovely flowery postage bags, can you spot a bit of a theme here. I also wonder how many eagle eyes can spot the mistake. Its only when you do these close up pictures that some mistakes stand out!

I'll bring you a few more makes with this set over the next few weeks.

Packaging

I have been having a bit of a clear out and found part packets of lots of different boxes. So I have used then all packaging some lovely goodies ready for the school summer fairs I am going to.

I started with card boxes. I have cut circles in the lid and added window sheet so that customers could see what the boxes contained. I love this designer paper, its glossy and catches the eye. I have added 3 little flowers in matching colours then used the new bakers twine, silver and petal pink. so pretty and delicate. Just the gift tags to add.

Then I made all the little bird box boxes with the card I had left from Christmas. The design is from Linda Parker. She has a you tube channel with some brilliant makes. These little boxes are an ideal size for the 2 x 30ml bottles of body lotion a 10 ml tube of cleansing milk and a 3g pot of lip balm in the lovely Rochas range.

The pillow boxes have been in my stash for years, in-fact from before I even knew anything about Stampin'Up. I just couldn't bring myself to throw them away. With the last of some old rolls of wide ribbon I think these are my favourites. I might make some smaller ones using the pillow boxes from the catalogue and stamping them with the rose in the Healing Hugs stamp set. See tomorrows post.

Finally the clear boxes, I keep finding more of these. I must have bought them with something in mind but I'm not sure what. With the lovely designer paper in the background and some shredded paper I bought for easter they look really good. So glad the Berry burst ribbon with the silver edge carried over. It really does make these boxes look good.

Ladies Night - Flower Power

A new class in the studio, a monthly ladies night.

July its all about flower power!

We will be making giant flowers. There is a hanger on the back so you can use it as wall art. The flowers are made from a light weight card, you will, cut,  learn to curl and there is quite a lot of glue involved. It will be a fun relaxed evening.
Make it a fun night out with friends, you are welcome to bring your own wine. We have glasses!
Tea and coffee will be available,  with nibbles maybe even cake.

Say good bye to wet wipes. New Product Highlight - Simply Shammy

Its got to be said... I am saying good by to wet wipes in my craft classes. I do use the stamping scrub but by the end of a class they were never quite clean enough for me particularly if we had used a lot of momento ink. I was regularly been asked for a wet wipes.

I am embracing the new Stampin'Up Shammy. I have used one every day for the last week. At the end of each day I have rinsed it out under the tap, screwed it up reasonable hard to just leave it damp and put away in an empty stamp box. It has been brilliant. The ladies in class have used the edges to wipe inky fingers and everyone has declared it a success.

It arrives in a sealed bag. It is damp when you take it out. I have used a spare stamp box to put mine in as it is a great fit.

You can see what stamp set I have been using this week I wonder what it will have on it next week?
