Todays the day

Well folks today my good friend  Elaine and I have launched our new venture -

                                               Our Creative Den, craft studio.

Lots of lovely people have been to visit today. The make and take table was well used, the only picture available to post today is this from when we first opened the doors. Here we have two of my boys and one girlfriend with two new visitors plus Elaine and I around the table crafting.

Later in the day the room was full and there were more people busy making.

Baby Bear

No fancy fold today, its a home decor item!

Now how many of you can see this without saying aahhh....  he is much loved in our team. Yes a cute teddy bear.

 Last minute addition to the range of workshops at our creative den. On Saturday 25th June 10 - 2 we will be running a workshop making this really cute baby bear frame. What a lovely gift for a new baby's room. We have kept him very neutral so suitable for a boy or girl.

The frame is a 6" box frame, everything you need will be provided along with our expert tuition. There is a great cafe across the cobbles from the studio - The Secret Cafe - where you can get lunch or you can bring your own, we will provide tea/coffee and cake.

This will be the first of many exciting saturday workshops at Our Creative Den

Fairy Celebration 2

And here is the second card, I don't often use yellow but the flowers in this looked like buttercups so had to be yellow. I have used the fine tip glue on the white spots on the toadstool. and wink of stella on the fairy dust, if only it sparkled just a little more!

Aren't they sweet, the third stamp I am using for my swaps for quarterly training, but I'm not sure how yet.

Fairy celebrations

A change of stamps today. This is not my usual choice of stamps but I could see so much done with these also I love colouring, both with blender pens and the aqua painters. Its Fairy Celebration

Its fairy time..... I haven't done much with them other than stamp and colour, I have added a touch of wink of stella but its so hard to make that show up in pictures. The cherries have been covered with the fine tip glue, they certainly look ripe for picking!

The hedgehogs are here

I did say it would be a late post tonight, but at last I have the hedgehogs for you. Another stamp in this ' Love you Lots' set that is really cute, I have kept the card very simple, stamped in one colour, a little bit of colouring and a little bit of watercolour.

I think I need to put them together and make a little box.

This set is only available as a hostess set, we are now taking bookings for parties at Our Creative Den   There are a few dates left for June and three for July.

Beginners class part 3 ribbons and bows.

A very late post tonight and I think tomorrow might be similar looking at my diary!

This is the set of cards for our lovely little group of 'new to stamping'.
This week we are looking at different ways of using ribbon, bakers twine and linen thread.

The first card just has a simple line of ribbon tied with a piece of bakers twine, very simple but just adds a bit of detail.
The second card uses linen thread wrapped around then tied in a bow, again simple, I usually use this when making a more male card, it is also used for rustic themes.
The third card is bows, the line of ribbon is fixed then the bow is tied around it. All bows are bunny rabbit ear bows!

 

Still using grateful bunch and the same colours as week one and two.

Today I have a make from my friend and partner in our new venture - craft studio. I have done a couple of blogs over the last few weeks about it. Elaine and I have a craft studio where we are going to be running our workshops, we have spent the last 3 weeks getting it together and next Saturday 18th June from 11am - 3pm is our grand opening, we have a couple of make and takes, light refreshments, new catalogues and much more to show. When we first signed the lease for the unit Elaine went home and made this, I think its beautiful.

All done in our colours, I think its really pretty, our creative style compliments each others, I would never have come up with this. I can't wait to get going on workshops together.
