Little Buddy 2

And 2 more with the Little Buddy stamp set.

I love this little bird, isn't he cute. I have used the stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp on the smooth side then smoothed onto the card to get the reverse image. Its worked a treat.
Had a bit of fun with the colours.

This second card shows the four images in the set. The little cake in the centre of the small square is on dimensionals. Then a piece of pool party seam binding to complete with a bow.

Now you have seen 4 sample cards what could you do with this set?

Little Buddy

This stamp set appealed to me straight away, not sure why as I don't usually do cute and I don't have small children.

There are 3 little monsters, a balloon and a cake stamp in the set with 3 sentiments.

The first card I have used the blendabilities to colour it, but only blending on the face. This technique takes some practice so for a first attempt I'm quite pleased. The sentiment is in the set too. The ribbon is the island indigo in the new catalogue.

This second card has been coloured with the marker pens, something I don't do often but I only have a couple of the blendabilities sets.
I have used low tack paper, stamped and cut out as a mask to crowd the little monsters. I have added rhinestones as the spots on the monster at the front and a little bow in the strawberry slush thick bakers twine.

I'm quite pleased with how they have turned out. What do you think?

Today and Everyday

The quality of Stampin Up! stamps shines through on the clear images  of this set.

The babushka dolls are fun to colour and I have stamped the larger doll on a small piece of card then cut her out and added her with dimensionals. I have matched colours for DSP and ribbon to add to the card base.

The scooter is a favourite image.

The ribbon and steel button add a male element. Keeping the card simple on Smokey Grey adds to its appeal.

The lanterns make me think of summer.

I have used the marker pens from the new In colour range, Lost Lagoon, Hello Honey and Blackberrry Bliss. The sentiment I have stamped on some scrap, punched out and added with dimensionals.

The whole set has a light fresh feel which I love. It is also ideal to experiment with 'blend ability pens' new to Stampin'Up!

Mixed Bunch

The mixed bunch set has been in  the catalogue for a couple of years now but remains a firm favourite. Here I have created a single colour card and a three panel card.

The three panel card always looks good and is quite simple to make.
I stamped the top layer whisper white card with the two flower shapes in two colours, I then cut it into 3 panels. These were mounted onto card matching one of the ink colours. The base card matched the second ink colour.
I have stamped a sentiment on one panel where there is a space.
One of the flower centres is stamped onto a spare piece of card then punched out a ........ dot is added the the centre. This is then added to the car dwith dimensionals.

The second card only uses one colour. I have stamped one flower 3 times on a lower corner of the card. The leaves are punched using the bird punch. The second flower is stamped then punched out. I have used the clay and flower mould to create a centre for the flower.
The sentiment is from the Yippee Skippee sentiment set.

You can see a strange line of ink across this card.......this is what happens in classes and workshops when samples are not put into cello bags! oooops

Traveler

Another new set in this years catalogue. I have only used this set with neutral colours, it lends itself so well to a vintage look.

I have so many ideas for this set others just aren't going to get a look in. The stamps also work really well with the large map stamp.

This first card uses the large map as a background. The ship is stamped then punched out with the large circle punch. The cases have been stamped then cut out. The burlap ribbon pulls the design together. All the stamping used Chocolate chip ink.

This second card uses the case, the passport and the camera stamped in crumb cake, sahara sand and smokey slate for the background. The train is stamped in soft shade on to very vanilla then mounted on soft shade card. The corners have been rounded to soften the look.
The linen thread has been wrapped around this small card part a couple of times. Although I have the ticket stamp set I don't have the punch so I have cut these out then threaded them together with more linen thread.

I think you will agree good man cards!

Beautiful Bunch

Hi, its so warm here I was up taking pictures at 7.30 this morning. Such a glorious morning.

And a sunny card to match the weather. This is one of the new stamp sets with a matching punch in the new catalogue and I love it. It has 6 stamps, 3 large flowers and three different flower centres a bit like Mixed Bunch which I used on another set of cards for the 'stamp a sack' last Saturday.

I have used Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry and Pink Pirouette inks. We started a bit like one sheet wonder. Everyone stamped an A4 piece of whisper white with the 3 stamps of their choice of which stamp in which colour, (not sure I have explained that very well) Then they cut the A4 sheet into 4 pieces to matt and layer onto Melon Mambo and pink Pirouette base card. The other two pieces they took home to layer onto card of their own choice. We finished the card with a pice of ribbon and a sentiment.

I think I shall be trying this set with lots of different colour combinations It makes such an eye catching image.
