Mothers Day Blue and White

I am a regular visitor to the blog of Francis Martin. Infact I tend to check every other day what she has made and peek a boo cards are something she regularly does. So this is a kind of copy from her and then I found this created by Shanni and I just knew I had to give it a go. Its not the same flower stamp but very similar.

This is another stamp set that really shows off the watercolour pencils. The range of colour you can get from one pencil as well as the accuracy. Those stamens are card that has been left blank. The flowers have been fussy cut.

If you enjoy colouring then using these watercolour pencils is the next step.
The circle of card is dazzling diamond glimmer paper, die cut with the new stitched framelits. It adds a bit of bling

Opening the front flap you get more flowers and inside the card I have stamped but not coloured another flower.

The box is very simple but I have die cut the letters to spell Mum then coated them with 'wink of stella' don't they glitter.

Mothers Day Tag card

Todays card is more subdued and neutral in colour. The designer paper used is a retired pack but I have lots of it and still find it hard to cut into, its soooo beautiful.
You might recognise the stamped flowers as I use them quite a lot last week, its the 'Wild about Flowers' set. Here I have used Mint Macaron for the leaves and Bermuda Bay for the flowers.

The lace is so pretty too. Now for the box

Hope you enjoy your Friday.... its nearly the weekend. We have visitors this weekend :)

Mothers Day Pop out of the box card

Hands up I admit this is a case from Bronwyn Eastley She is an Australian Demonstrator. I have even used the same colours as they are two of my favourite selection.
Its a neat use of the new little hexagon box die and folds flat to go into an envelop, but as this is part of my Mothers Day makes I have created a box

The flowers are die cut from the botanicals range. I need to get these out again and do something in greens as 'Botanicals' is big on the high street this year.

Rather than the usual Mother's Day sentiment I have gone with this 'to an amazing woman' after all thats how we feel about our Mum's isn't it.

This is the card folded flat.

And the box.

So pretty. This will be available in my Etsy shop from Monday 13th April.

Mothers Day Book Mark Card

I am going to bring you a week of Mothers day cards. This first one is NOT pink and its NOT flowery so very different from the norm. I have 2 customers who love bumble bees and just felt I had to make a card with them in mind.  This is a book mark card.
I love love love the new hexagon embossing folder and I think if it stays on my desk it will get used almost daily for something. You can use both sides of the card once embossed they are both really interesting so a double wammy!

Because the bees are yellow and black those are the colours I have used with the speciality paper in the Urban Underground designer paper pack with shiny silver crosses on, looks like lots of kisses.. Even though it so out of the norm for mothers day I hope you like it.

This is the only Mothers Day sentiment stamp I have and it retired some time ago. Note to self buy a new one next year!.
You can see the book mark in the picture below.

All my Mothers day cards are boxed. Here is the box for this one.

This will be available in my Etsy shop from Monday 13th March.

Wild about Flowers

Yes that stamp set is still on my desk. Love this style of card its great for using up small bits of card. I really like this colour combination, Delightful Dijon and Bermuda Bay with Mint Macaron leaves.

The addition of a few buttons from my stash, some matching retired ribbons and then gold and Bermuda Bay sequins finishes it off.

I think this one is really pretty. I might make another one that says Happy Birthday.

Jems Bloghop, colour challenge, Mint Macaron, Bermuda Bay and Sweet Sugarplum.

Its that time of the month again,  doesn't it come around quickly. March bloghop for the Jems.

This month the gems challenge is colour based. It is based around the colours of the new products available free with a qualifying order - the three colours of the glitter paper in sale-a-bration.

I haven't got these yet so I have used the inks to create a little something.

Wild about Flowers stamp set which I love,  the flower stems are in Mint Macaron, the flower heads stamped in Bernuda Bay then a few petite petals along the rim. I have die cut some dragonflies in vellum. These have been coated in fine tip glue then when dry painted with wink of stella. They really do glisten and give the whole piece an ethereal look. The background is the 'Falling in Love' designer paper.

This one below if the whole creation before I painted the embroidery frame. I can't decide which one I like the best. What do you think?
