So another month has passed and its time for the Jems blog hop again. This months theme is 'packaging'.
I have used the envelop punch board for this, it doesn't get a mention very often these days but it is such a useful tool to have. Its nearly christmas cracker time and they look so professional made with the board.
Back to my make for todays hop. I practised this using one of the papers from the paper stack but I always knew I would make it in some of the moroccan design paper. The shape makes me think of Turkish Delight, one of the best things about christmas, along with mince pies and.........So I have made a mini box and a mega box! The small one is made from a 6' x 6' square of paper, the large one from a 12' x 12' square of paper - no wastage at all.
The post is very picture heavy as I couldn't decided which pictures to keep so I have used them all!
This is the mini box, made with a 6' x 6' square of paper. I have just added a sentiment and a few punched stars to decorate. I tried a ribbon but it just didn't look right.
You can see Turkish Delight in there can't you.
Now for the large one. It does look stunning. I think having a less colourful pattern on the outside adds to the impact too.
The sentiment is from the 'Sweet Stack' stamp set and seemed appropriate! This box is big enough for homemade cookies or squares of a tray bake. I think its great.
Hope you like it. Now see what the next person has done.
