I have gone for a bit of mixed media, other than the key everything else is Stampin'Up. Its a pity we no longer have the corrugated card as that is great for this type of project. I started by covering the heart in cheap glue, re spreading and respreading until I had a thin layer with bubbles in, then left it to dry...... this gives the surface some texture before you start to daub the colours on, then I stamped on top I hope you like it.
I just felt this was not quite finished and needed another layer....... what to do.
I have added half a dozen circles of the lovely bronze thread. Its looks great in real life but the pictures just don't pick it up very well, plus the burlap tie.
The three colours used are Real Red, Cherry Cobbler and Marina Mist. The four stamp sets are Awesomely artistic, Sunshine sayings, Timeless textures and Delicate details from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue. The one piece of designer paper is out of the Falling in Love pack and then one of the new doilies. I have used the new doilies as a stencil and then coloured it and stuck it on. The sentiment is covered with fine tip glue. Getting the balance in the amour of stamping and distribution of colours is a fine line and I do wish it had a bit more dimension but its different.
