Butterflies again

Two little cards made with one piece of embossed paper. This time I used the butterfly embossing folder and a little bit of daubing.

This was the first card I made. I have used Peek a Boo Peach, Baja Breeze and Dapper Dan to sponge the background. The layer is then matted onto Peek a Boo Peach and Island Indigo. The butterfly is stamped in Dapper Denim, Peek a Boo Peach then stamped of Baja Breeze as the base layer. I am really pleased with how this has come out.

The second card uses the Peek a Boo Peach and Baja Breeze. The left over embossed piece has been cut into three 1 1/4 " squares then mounted on 1 1/2" squares of Baja Breeze. The butterflies are the small ones in the stamp set just stamped in the two colours.

I always like the four squares in the top right hand corner. The card somehow has balance. Not my usual colour choice but I quite like this.
