Product Highlight of the week - Blends 5 Facts you should know.

The Blend pens..... what is the difference between these and the usual Stampin'Up markers is the question I usually get asked.

Firstly the ink in the blends has an alcohol base rather than water. This means the ink sits on the surface of the card so that you can move it around.  You need to ensure you are not resting on another piece of card that you want to use later as the colour does soak through eventually. Use the grid paper to work on!

All the  colours come in 2 shades, light and dark. This allows you to create an ombre effect with them, colours fading from dark to light.

Adding more ink gives a more intense colour.

The brush ends are lovely and soft, you do not need to press hard in-fact a light touch gives a better finish. This will ensure the ink lasts longer too.

Colouring with these pens ensures a smooth even finish.

There is a range of 22 colours to choose from. These are the new pens in this years annual catalogue. The original 11 colours are still available too.
