Rooted in Nature Technique Thursday

Another make with that beautiful stamp set.
Today I have a step card to share with you. I would class this as a fancy fold and its not a style I create very often but it gave me a chance to use both sides of one sheet of designer paper.

I have daubed all the edges of the card and paper with crumb cake. The Oak tree has been die cut, the first of the dies I have used.
To colour the tree I have used the sponge daubers that fit over your finger to ink the stamp, starting with early expresso to ink the trunk and where I thought the branches were, then Tranquil tide over the rest of the stamp, some of it over the early expresso which is why the tree appears to have shades.

This is a very detailed beautiful stamp.
I have used the pumpkin pie bakers twine to complement the striped paper which is the reverse of the leaf print. It also brings out the shine in the leaf trinket
