Butterflies.

Yesterday I had a wonderful crafting day with  Elaine who is a member of my Stampin'Up team as well as good friend. Now she is a master worker of the neutrals where as I like a pop of colour. As Stampin'Up demonstrators we get a quarterly magazine and on the cover last month was this lovely little framed picture which we have tried to copy in our own way. The magazine is just one of the many perks of being a demonstrator. If you fancy joining my team now is a brilliant time as you get £160 of goodies for £99 - this lasts until the end of March.

Back to our crafting. I had a couple of odd frames in the cupboard, one quite plane the other very ornate. I'm sure you will have your favourite, I like both of them.

We are planning a class to create one of these frames and some other goodies. Get in contact here if you are interested. k x

A Heart for Mum

Sorry posts have been erratic the last fortnight, I have been away on holiday for one of those birthdays with a 0 at the end and its taken me a while to get back into normal routines again. Had a fab week in Cape Verde, really recommend it if you enjoy swimming in the sea and reading on the beach, also lots of waterspouts including scuba.

Back to crafting. Valentines day and Mothers day are coming up fast so although I have chosen to put Mum on this it could say 'love' or 'valentine' or similar. Even personalised with a specific persons name.

I love making these ribbon roses. I have now got so that I can sit watching TV making them. I am trying to make 3 or 4 in each ribbon that I have so that I have a box full ready for every eventuality!

The designer paper covering the wooden heart is from the 'Love Blossoms' stack. I have daubed the edges of the front with rose red and mint macaron. The back is also covered in the same paper but no daubing!
I have then cut the 'Bloomin Love' heart from the new blushing bride glimmer card. I have attached this to a piece of blushing bride card that I have cut freehand around the die cut. The small flowers are in the rose red card with a pearl centre.
The ribbon for the roses is the wide vanilla ribbon from the seasonal catalogue, you could use the jute ribbon from the annual catalogue, plus a little of the mint macaron lace. For the banner I have used the stamp from 'Bloomin Love' the die from the 'Number of Years die set and the back to basics alphabet for the wording. Somewhere in the mix is a small doily that I have daubed with the pink ink.

I think there may be another one of these tomorrow but in neutrals.

This was the best day of our holiday, sailing the ocean blue, under full sail, just the sound of the sea.

Mid Week Male, aeroplanes a plenty.

Most of this card is from the SAB brochure. If you would like one of these contact me

The sentiment is so good for lots of occasions, new job, graduation etc
The background paper is from the SAB brochure too. I have stamped it with the world stamp from the 'going places set, but it was only to add interest. The paper could stand alone.

I stamped 3 planes as when I had only cut the one out the card looked a little bare!

And for the inside, the smoke trail.

Another tin of cards

Another little tin of cards, mostly pink!

These 3 white cards are blank inside

These 2 cards with the kraft card base have a piece of very vanilla card inside with flowers stamped, no sentiment.

This tin  of cards is also available in my Etsy shop

I think I might have to do some more of these tins with current papers and stamp sets.

A retrospective look at a few makes

I have just opened an Etsy shop as my cupboard with my best makes into is now overflowing. So today and tomorrow I thought I would show you some of the best bits.

Remember the 'One Sheet Wonder way of working and in our team the little tins were bought by the ton! Each tin comfortably holds 5 cards and envelopes, these are the Stampin'Up notecards which are really good quality.

All of the cards are blank inside. See my Etsy Shop

Alphabet again

Really sorry about the picture today it looks so dark. The card base is night of navy. When stamping the alphabet I put all the little stamps onto the large block to stamp them, that way I could get them as evenly spread before stamping. The Hooray is from  SAB stamp set perfect pairings, inside I have stamped the Happy Birthday from the same set.

3 Step Stamping. 'What I Love' free stamp set.

Another make from monthly training. The stamp set is from pg 7 of the SAB brochure. Although 3 step stamping sounds difficult, it isn't with these stamps. They have a little arrow on one side, so keeping that facing in the same direction with each step everything layers up really well. I love the subtle feeling the vellum attached over some stamping gives this card. Its pretty and delicate.
