A bit of fun with Rudoph
Do you ever have one of those days when you are doing one thing when something totally unrelated pops into your head, well anyway thats what happened to me this morning. I started with a clear desk, only the items for the Winter Wonderland class in front of me, lots of gold and black, Designer paper, vellum, ribbon and cord, embossing powder and iced gems. When lout of the corner of my eye I spied the box of reindeeer paper clips, well I had to have a look didn't I. They were all tangled together but once all sat in a row I could see red foil and a small circle punch and some vellum and the designer paper and those lovely little Stampin'Up notecards. I was off. Half an hour later here are the three little cards I made, cute, easy and quick.
And for the inside. This sentiment is from an old retired set, but I thought it was appropriate.

Woodland embossing folder and a cute penguin from Snow Place.
Now I have to say I am much happier with this coloured embossed woodland. I have had a brayer for.... I couldn't say how long but it is rarely out of the box but using it on this embossing folder has given a much cleaner image than those previously posted so I recommend if you a colouring the embossing folder get your brayer out.
I have kept this simple, just fussy cut a penguin, he is so cute and a sentiment for him to sit on. I have also stamped some snowflakes with versa mark then added the Dazzling Diamonds glitter. I do have a question, does this glitter ever run out, I have used loads this year but the little jar is still full or so it looks!

White Christmas Star
I haven't used my white Christmas stamps this year after them being top of my makes last year. The star framlits still being out on my desk a third make came to mind.
I have kept this very simple, stamped the trees in black the sponged in the sky and ground. The deer has been stamped on separate card then fussy cut and mounted with dimensionals. Its only on looking at these pictures I realise I haven't added the red ink for the chests of the little birds to make them robins.
I stuck the stamped star to the gold folk then hand cut as the stamped star is cut with the largest star die. Then I hit a brick wall as to what and how to mount it to make into a card. I don't often stamp the card I use to mount on but this seemed the best way forward. The little snowflakes stamped in white are subtle enough to give an interest to the background card. I hope you like this one.

Festival of Trees, Sponging and Stars
Oh, I now have a thing about the star framelits. With this one I stamped the tree then wondered what to do with it, the ideas in my head vanished so I went to load the washing machine! Later in the day it came to me. I love daubing or sponging so create the hills with trees around the Christmas tree.

The base card is the new Whisper White Thick card. Its really sturdy and great particularly when you are adding layers.
I love this technique using post it notes to create a scene, sponging and just the tip of the tree, stamped and stamped off.
Even though its the same frame lit isn't this card different from yesterdays, which do you like best?

Stars and sponging treatment for Every Blessing
Do you have 'stuff' in the back of your cupboard that you haven't opened, I bet you do. I have had the star framelits for quite a while now and not used them. Early hours this morning I had one of those lightbulb moments for using the star framelits. This is the first response.
I'm liking this, its a bit different.
No bling or glossy ribbon, just very simple and a sentiment we would all wish for. The colour combination is Always Artichoke and Soft Sky. Quite a bit of sponging and it was done after stamping the main image from the Every Blessing set. I did it the other way around first but found you could see the sponging line through the black ink, so a bit of a tip there.

Packaging:- Envelope Punch Board
3 very different packaging ideas, two very small and simple one twice the size that really looks the business.
The two small ones are both inspired by 'Pootles' she does a daily video make and is easy to find on youtube.
This first is called a 'bag in a box'. I love this and regularly demonstrate it at my parties. It looks good in all sorts of designer papers. Here again I have used the Winter wonderland paper so my colour theme continues to be Black and Gold.
Isn't this dainty and glamourous. Imagine it with gold tissue paper in it wrapping something precious.
The little tag is cut in gold foil hanging on some of the new gold cord. Classy or what?
The second little box makes a 3d envelope but not closed at one end, I have added a couple of candy canes but you cold put in a bar of chocolate or similar.
Its a really quick make, I did think the candy canes matched the pattern on the paper!
Now for the third box. I found this on pintrest here and just had to have a go. It reminded me of the boxes you get turkish delight in. Something I love but only eat at Christmas, think the icing sugar might have something to do with it!

If you pull the gold ribbon the box opens. You could add the ribbon to one of the black points and the box would open upwards, I preferred this. The base is made with the white shimmery card, I don't use this very often but it does add a little touch of luxury.
The envelop Punch Board and the Bag Board are such a great investment to be used over and over again, there are a lot of ideas to use them for.
